Copper and Candy Red Horse Mouth
Horse Mouth 7.5g Spoon with Owners Hook
Buoyancy: Sinking
These spoons are made of solid metal, making them Sinking lures.
High Density: Because they are metal, they have no buoyancy and will begin to sink as soon as they hit the water.
Aerodynamic: The 7.5g weight in such a small, thin profile allows for very long, accurate casts even in windy conditions.
Diving Depth: Unlimited (Variable)
Spoons do not have a diving lip, so their depth is entirely controlled by the angler.
Surface to Bottom: You can fish them just under the surface with a fast retrieve or let them "flutter" down to the bottom in deep pools.
Retrieval Speed: A faster reel speed will lift the spoon higher in the water column due to water resistance against its curved body.
Action and Technique
The "Wobble and Flash": The curved, teardrop shape of the spoon causes it to wobble erratically from side to side when retrieved, reflecting light to mimic a small baitfish.
The Flutter Drop: On a "slack line" (when you stop reeling), the spoon will tumble and flash as it sinks. Many strikes occur during this "fall".
Single Hook Design: These are rigged with a single hook (rather than a treble), which is ideal for "Horse Mouth" (small predatory stream fish) and Trout, as it causes less harm to the fish and is less likely to snag on rocks or submerged roots.
Target Species: Specifically designed for Horse Mouth, Trout, Perch, and small Chub in streams and rivers.
