Natural Slender Minnow
20g Slender Minnow with Owners Treble Hooks
Buoyancy: Sinking
At 20g, a slender minnow of this profile is almost certainly a Sinking (S) or Heavy Sinking model.
Purpose: This weight-to-size ratio is designed for long-distance casting, even into strong headwinds.
Behavior: When you stop retrieving, the lure will sink. This allows you to "countdown" to a specific depth before you start your retrieve, making it more versatile than a floating model.
Diving Depth: 2.5 – 5 feet
The small, narrow lip (the clear plastic piece at the front) indicates it is a shallow-to-mid runner.
Retrieval Depth: While actively reeling, the lip will pull the lure down to approximately 0.8m to 1.5m.
Maximum Depth: Because it is a sinking lure, its "true" depth is limited only by how long you let it sink. You can fish it much deeper than 1.5m by letting it drop toward the bottom before starting your retrieve.
How to Fish This 20g Minnow
The "Jerk & Pause": This lure is built for aggressive movement. Give the rod sharp "jerks" to make the lure dart erratically left and right.
Stability: The 20g weight provides excellent stability in fast-moving water or heavy surf, preventing the lure from tumbling or washing out to the surface.
Target Species: This is a classic profile for Sea Bass, Large Trout, Pike, or Walleye.
