Peanut Butter and Jelly Minnow Crank
6g Minnow with Owners Treble Hooks
Buoyancy: Sinking
A 6g lure of this size (typically 50mm to 60mm) is almost always a Sinking (S) or Heavy Sinking (HS) model.
Why? A floating lure of this length usually weighs only 2g to 3.5g. The extra weight in a 6g model is designed to help it cast long distances and stay stable in moving water (like rivers or streams) without "blowing out" to the surface.
Action: When you stop reeling, it will sink nose-first or horizontally (depending on the internal weight balance).
Diving Depth: 2 – 4 feet
The small, clear "lip" (the plastic bib at the front) indicates it is a shallow-to-medium runner.
Active Depth: While reeling, the lip will pull the lure down to about 2–4 feet.
Variable Depth: Because it is a sinking lure, you can use a "countdown" method. If you let it sink for a few seconds before reeling, you can fish it much deeper than its rated diving depth.
Fishing Tips for this Lure
Since this is likely a sinking minnow (similar to a Duo Ryuki or Smith D-Contact style), it performs best with active rod movements:
The "Twitch": Instead of a straight retrieve, give the rod tip short, sharp jerks. This makes the lure "dart" side-to-side, flashing its gold and pink sides to mimic a wounded baitfish.
Current: This lure is heavy enough to be cast across a fast-moving stream and retrieved through the current without losing its action.
