Threadfin Fairy Slow Pitch Jig
Slow Pitch Jig - Threadfin Fairy
40g
Single heavy Duty Hook with Trailer
Buoyancy: Sinking
These jigs are high-density metal lures, making them Sinking.
Rapid Descent: Their solid metal construction ensures they sink quickly through the water column to reach deep-holding fish.
Asymmetrical Design: The body shape is designed to be slightly off-center. This causes the jig to "dance," slide, and flutter unpredictably as it falls, rather than dropping in a straight line.
Diving Depth: Unlimited (Vertical)
These are primarily vertical lures, and their depth is determined by the angler and the weight chosen.
Total Coverage: They can be fished from the mid-water column all the way to the ocean or lake floor.
Weight Selection:
10g & 15g: Best for shallower coastal waters, piers, or light-current rivers.
20g & 30g: Ideal for moderate depths and standard shore jigging.
40g: Designed for deep water or areas with strong currents where lighter lures would be swept away.
Action and Technique
Slow Pitch Jigging: Unlike traditional "speed jigging," these are designed to be worked with a rhythmic "pitch" of the rod. The angler lifts the rod and lets it fall; the lure does the work during the "slack" period of the drop, fluttering like a dying baitfish.
Assist Hook Rigging: They are rigged with a single assist hook on a braided line at the head. This setup is highly effective for hooking predatory fish while significantly reducing the chance of snagging on rocky bottoms.
Target Species: Highly effective for Sea Bass, Snapper, Mackerel, Bonito, and large Lake Trout.
